Finding Serenity in the Flowers

Yami chuckled a little lowly at her saying it felt right to be there. "It feels right to have you here..." He said, with a smirk that didn't really meet his eyes as he looked at her. His thumb was now stroking her hand that was holding his cheek. Her hand felt good against his cheek... He might not be able to let her remove it...

He closed his eyes as he gave a short and stiff nod. "Right..." He said, his voice suddenly gruff. He wasn't sure what caused his voice to sound that way... Was it because he wasn't sure if any of this was real anyways? Or if it was real, then the others leaving him?

...No... If he was honest with himself... it was mostly about the idea of her leaving...

He knew it happened... He knew that things had changed between the two of them... That he could not longer just see her as a "friend"... Or even as just "Joey's sister"...

He wasn't a hundred percent sure of when it started... Back in the Virtual World, when she was turned to stone, he remembered it hitting him harder than some of the others... He even managed to play all three of his Dark Magician cards... A feet he had never really done before then... But right after all of them got out of there, he was back in the Battle City duels, with no time to think about any of it...

Then right after that it was that thing with Dartz where he foolishly lost Yugi... Damn, when did they ever get a break?

Yami's eye lids lowered just a little as she stepped closer to him and spoke about starting to like it here. He took pride in that. "I'm glad..." He said, his eyes on her. He didn't know what possessed him to do it, but he turned his head, moving his lips to the palm of her hand, just pressing them to her soft hand.

He held it there in place, lowering his eye lids even more for a moment. His eyes moved to hers, to see her reaction. Would she push him away? Had he overstep his boundaries? Would she think he was too forward? It just felt right, having her right there... by his side...

Yami responded to her kiss quickly, wrapping his free hand around her waist, pulling her closer to him. He felt her hesitation and kissed back her slowly, feeling almost as if time had frozen around them. There was barely any space left between their bodies... He could almost feel how thin her outfit really was...

His hand on her waist stroked her hip lightly, feeling more content then he had felt in a long time...

Yami breathed her in as he kissed her, feeling all of his senses being filled with her. He slowly started to deepen the kiss more, not wanting to push her, but wanting to keep kissing her.

He only pulled away when they both needed air. He hugged her close, before leaning down and placing a light kiss on her shoulder. He looked back at her, as he moved his hand off of hers, placing his hand on her cheek.

He didn't know what to say... But he wished he could continue drinking her in...

Unbeknownst to them, Ramses hid behind a wall a few feet away from them, watching the whole exchange. His face was emotionless, but his eyes held hatred for the Pharaoh.

He leaned his face towards her, shushing her softly. "You have no reason to be..." He whispered, softly, his eyes holding a loving expression to her. He leaned up and kissed her forehead, his lips lingering a little afterwards. He moved to put his forehead against hers, his thumb grazing her bottom lip lightly.

He didn't know what to say to her... He just needed to continue holding her... Just a little bit longer...

Ramses left once the kiss broke, seething to himself as he made his way down to the dungeon...

Him and Tea had some planning to do...

Yami stared into her eyes at her question. He didn't know how to answer... "...What do you want us to be?" He asked, after a moment. All he knew was that he didn't want to let her go...

Yami leaned forward and kissed her lips lightly at her words. "Agreed...." He said, softly, staring into her eyes as he leaned his forehead against hers once again.

Arielle was looking for her room, feeling silly not having asked someone to show her. Oh well... I get more of a view of the palace... She thought, before her thoughts went to Seto. You better come back or I will come after you myself... She thought, as she turned the corner.

She jumped when she looked up and saw Yami and Serenity in a loving embrace. She put a hand over her mouth, trying to stop the gasp that escaped her lips.

Yami froze and snapped his head to the side to see Arielle standing there with a hand over her mouth, looking embarrassed. "Sorry! Uh, don't mind me... hehe..." She said, with a sheepish smile. Yami just stared at her in shock.

Arielle felt really, really bad... She didn't mean to ruin a moment....

Arielle put a hand over her eyes in embarrassment. "H-hi, Serenity..." She said, quietly. "I, uh, was just looking for my room..." She said, gulping a little.

Yami stared at her for a moment... "They're down this hall to the left..." He said, automatically, unsure of what to say.

Yami tried not to pout at the fact that Serenity was heading off to her room... He nodded at her though. "Tomorrow..." He said, looking at her with a bit of a longing look.

Arielle fidgeted and gave Serenity a sheepish smile. "Um, yeah, that would be great, thanks...." She said, before mouthing to Yami "Sorry!". She really felt bad... She would have hated if someone came onto Seto and her kissing earlier... She blushed a little at the thought.

She walked with Serenity, ready to apologize to her when the made it around the corner...

Arielle started immediately saying how sorry she was to Serenity, when all of a sudden Fadil was there, scaring them both. She put a hand over her heart, willing it to slow down, when she noticed his unreadable look to her.

What did she do...?

He couldn't have seen... She mentally shook the thought out of her mind, as she heard footsteps running towards them from behind. She turned and say Yami, almost ready to pounce on somebody.

"Are you two all right?" He asked, looking mostly at Serenity, but he did look to see if Arielle was okay, which made her feel a little better.

Yami breathed a sigh of relief that nothing actually happened. He looked at Fadil and gave him a nod, noticing the odd behavior all of a sudden.

Arielle watched as Fadil started to walk away. "Fadil..." She found herself calling. When he paused in his step, she knew she couldn't turn back now. "Are... are you okay?" She asked, concern in her voice... He had been nice to her, sure he was flirting, but that didn't mean she didn't think they couldn't be friends...

Arielle blinked as she watched him leave. That seemed... She looked over at Serenity when she took the words right out of her mouth. She nodded in agreement.

Yami sighed, shaking his head. "Arielle, you need to stay on guard here... Kaiba and I don't know who we can trust here..." He told her, noticing her stiffen a little when he mentioned Seto...

Arielle nodded. "Of course... I'll make sure I have something with me..." She said, before smiling a little.

Yami looked at the two of them. "I'm going to escort you two to your rooms... I'd feel better knowing personally that you two got to your rooms safely..." He stated, looked at both of them.

Arielle smiled at him kindly. "Thanks, Yami... Should I call you Atemu now?" She asked, wondering.

Yami didn't know how to answer that...

Yami thought about it which he preferred to be called... "...I'll let you know..." He said, before leading them to their rooms. He took Serenity's hand in his as they walked and the couple didn't notice the smile that appeared on her face at the sight of it.

They are soooo cute! Arielle thought, as she nodded to his answer. Guess he hasn't thought about it yet... He's had a lot pushed on him just today anyways... She thought, thinking about how they were all thrown into this.

He showed them Arielle's room first, which she was grateful. He looked at the room on her doors right. "Kaiba's room is right next to yours..." He mentioned, slightly intrigued by that.

Arielle's eyes widened a little. "Oh? Wow... Uh, anyways, thanks for showing me my room." She said, smiling at Yami and Serenity. "Goodnight, guys." She said, before going into her room.

She was not disappointed...

Yami looked at Serenity and gave her a small smile, before he went to lead her to her room. He hid a smirk when he saw that her room was right next to hers. He glanced over at the door on the other side of Serenity's... He had an odd feeling that was Ramses room...

"My room is right here if you need me..." He said, nodding to his bedroom. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before looking at her. He felt himself almost drain on the spot.... Had it really been only one day?

He leaned forward and kissed her forehead sweetly. "Sweet dreams, Serenity..." He mumbled, as he pulled his lips away from her forehead.
